Now some info on my car: It has a 340 .60 over, Edelbrock street kit (lifters, Performer RPM cam, 600cfm carb, Air Gap intake), 360 high compression J heads with 1.68 exhaust and 2.02 intake valves, K&N air filter, MSD 6AL ignition, Dynomax Jet Coated headers. 2 1/2 inch aluminized exhaust, Taylor 8mm wires. The current drivetrain are as follows: 904 slapstick automatic, 1500 stall converter, B&M automatic shift kit, new 3:55 Dana Splice posi. Car was originally from Arizona until a guy bought it and brought it here to Indiana where he let it sit for 2 years. I found it in the local paper listed for $400 when I was 17 years old. I called him as asked what the current status on the car was. He told me that a guy was going to buy it but if he didn't, he would call me and let me know. After a day of no phone contact, I decided to let it go and look at a 1957 Chevy project (glad that didn't go thru!). He called me as I was walking out the door. He said that the guy who was going to by it didn't want to sign any legal stuff and got mad and left (whatever, not sure on the whole deal there). If I didn't buy it he was going to take it to the junkyard and crush it to pay for gas back to Arizona the following weekend. I went with my mom and dad to go look at it. We test drove it and after about 2 minutes of discussion I decided to buy it. I drove it for one year (even in the Indiana winter with no heater and bad weatherstripping) then took it to my highschool auto body class where my friend Ed and I did an amature restoration on it. As you may, or already have seen in the before and afters, I think we did a pretty good job for beginners having only 4 months and 3 hours a day to do it in! Anyway, I now have it torn apart again after owning it for 5 years. A set of 72 hideaway headlights, bulge hood, Rallye dash, and re-chromed bumpers are just a few of the new parts that await installation. Full quarters and used front fenders and doors are also going on it. I am having a body shop do it this time due to lack of time, tools, and space. I am also currently trying to track previous ownership. Update: It is currently back on the road and doing quite well after its second facelift! Check out the rest of my site for other cool stuff and recent pics. Thanks and enjoy!!
